Starting Gate at GreatHorse Wedding

Taylor and Joe knew that their wedding day had to personal, they had to share a special connection to the place where they would share their vows. They knew that the perfect place to host their ceremony would be the the very lake where they first said “I Do” and where they have created many happy memories together over the years.

The day started out with clouds and the weather seemed unsure. Even by the time the Ceremony was about to begin, Groomsmen were trying to get the access water off of the tent. But as soon as Taylor stepped foot on the aisle with her Dad, the skies began to clear, the rain stopped and quite literally it felt like the only two people in the world were Joe and Taylor. It was almost as if time and mother nature stood still for these two to become married.

Following the Ceremony at the lake, they partied the night away with friends and loved ones. They treated their guests to a wine bar and treats likes mini hot dogs with shots of whiskey. Taylor and Joe wanted their guests to relax and truly enjoy each moment of the day — they certainly did just that!

Lastly and perhaps most importantly, Joe is an active duty service member and for both Taylor and Joe it was important that this aspect was reflected in different ways through out the wedding. One of my favorites was the Saber Arch following their First Kiss and walk down the aisle as Mr. & Mrs. Joe wore his dress uniform and they even incorporated dog tags into the escort cards. With all that, I feel it only fitting to share a heartfelt thank you to all the men and woman who serve our country and our military, thank you.
