This past weekend marked the end of my 2011 wedding season! I can't believe how fast time has flown by! It seems like yesterday I was sitting at my news desk torn between becoming a full time wedding photographer or continuing on the path I was headed. Now looking back, the choice seems so clear. And while my shooting season isn't completely over yet, (I still have a lots of fun engagements and portrait sessions to photograph:)), I am ready for a little down time to re-group and head fresh into 2012.

So now you may be wondering, how does a photographer celebrate such a milestone? By having their photograph taken of course!

As many of you know, our anniversary was this past July. We celebrated five years of mawaaahge (marriage Princess Bride style), and as a gift to me, Dave surprised me with a session together with my favorite photographer, Katelyn James. Our original portrait date was scheduled for August but Irene canceled those plans and we set to work to find another date. Well that date is today and I couldn't be more excited. We get to step back into our wedding attire and recapture our love, five years later. What a gift!
