Poutine. Maple leaves. Moose. Last month we celebrated our five year anniversary, Canadian style. We spent a week in Quebec City soaking in the sights, pretending to speak French, but mostly doing nothing. We walked a bit, we read, we talked, and we relaxed. With the St. Lawrence River just outside our hotel door, it was a beautiful spot to sit and enjoy life. And while we may have done a lot of nothing, I had to document it all. I want to remember these times with my husband for the rest of our life. I want to remember these moments of nothing that we shared together. And so we did.
Here is a short recap of our time in the land of Maple Syrup, Maple Butter, Maple Candy, Maple Oil, Maple... and Moose. We loved you Canada, thanks for helping us celebrate five years of marriage!
Chateau Frontenac... it's famous, and I only know that because it's at Disney World.
The Citadel
Looking down into Vieux Quebec (Old Quebec)
We ate at this restaurant that specialized in Rabbit. I have to admit, it was pretty good!
As if on tradition, the day of our actual anniversary it rained. Just like it did on our wedding day.
We spent the afternoon of our anniversary at Starbucks. How perfect:)
Then Dave took me out to a beautiful dinner:)
Thanks babe for a wonderful anniversary, here's to many, many more!
