An Afternoon with Shaulita

Meet Shaulita, a young woman and budding photographer from Boston. We were connected by my good friend Liz and spent yesterday afternoon talking all things photography and business. I was blown away by this bright young lady who has a great eye and keen business sense, even at the young age of 16! I truly cannot wait to see where life takes her.

There is such a great sense of hope and expectation at her age. It was fun to see life through her eyes, what she likes, what she hopes for, what she dreams of. And after spending time with Shaulita I was reminded, that even though I may not be that bright eyed 16 year old girl anymore, I should never stop dreaming for the future. Life should be filled with that same sense of hope and expectation that I saw in Shaulita. Funny, I was there to mentor her, yet she was the one who inspired me!

Part of the afternoon we spent behind the camera, getting to know the ins and outs of the technical side of photography. As I explained depth of field and F Stops and ISO and exposures, I took the opportunity to use Shaulita as my model. Look out world, Shaulita's coming!!
