A Sneak Peek

Last Monday was one of the best days of my pregnancy so far. It started with a surprise baby shower thrown by my favorite photography ladies, then I got my hair and makeup done by the every fabulous Lena of Hair That Moves and we ended the day with having our maternity pictures taken by my good friend and fellow photographer Alicia of No Eye Has Seen.

It was pretty much a surreal experience and I couldn't keep from smiling ALL DAY. Needless to say I was UTTERLY exhausted on Tuesday but it was so worth the fun we had on Monday.

Being pregnant is strange, your body does such crazy and weird things as you grow a SOUL (as my friend Luke likes to say;)) inside you. Perhaps that's why we grow, to remind us that we are in fact growing another human being. There have been days where I have just felt HUGE and uncoordinated and just plain out of sorts. (Like that time I was at Trident Cafe on Newbury Street and knocked over an entire book display with my stomach!) And while my pregnancy has been nothing short of wonderful, EVERY pregnant woman can attest that this adventure has it's ups and downs. It's work, hard work, and there are days that I have just struggled to keep my attitude in check.

So being in front of the camera on Monday was a bit of a challenge. It's taken a lot to get used to this new body of mine. (Leave it to me to wear the TIGHTEST dress I've ever owned while being photographed at the largest I've ever been;))! But with my husband by my side we rocked it out, or at least I hope we did!! He made me feel nothing less than beautiful, and I'm so grateful to have him by my side. Throughout this whole pregnancy he has been the one taking pictures of ME and I so wanted some with the two of us together. It was amazing knowing that here we were taking our maternity pictures and in just a few SHORT weeks we'll be meeting our baby boy!!

Here's a sneak peek, I'm hoping to share more pictures later this week as Alicia is a champ and they are already ready!! I can't wait to meet this little dude, for now I'll just dream about who he is and how he'll change our life!! Big belly and all!
