Seven Years!

On Sunday Dave and I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary. SEVEN YEARS?! When did that happen? At the time of our wedding ten years seemed like an eternity. Now it's only three years away. Crazy.

This weekend we spent a GLORIOUS baby free night (oh hello eight hours of sleep!) away in the city. We went out to dinner, we got drinks, we got back to us. It was wonderful to spend some uninterrupted time together, focusing on each other and recharging our batteries. We desperately missed our baby however and were happy to only be a ten minute drive away. I practically ran into the house to hug my baby yesterday morning;). (HUGE thanks to Dave's parents who drove down from New Hampshire and stayed at our house to watch Jonathan. What a blessing...)

Each year as our anniversary rolls around I take time to reflect on the year that has passed. And each year I'm grateful to be another year into marriage. I've never looked back and wished that we could go back to a certain point in our relationship. We've grown SO much together and it makes me excited to think about how we'll continue to grow in the coming years. I'm even more excited to grow as a family. What a blessing our seventh year has been. Not only are we another year into marriage but we've become parents. I can't tell you what a gift that has been to us this year. It has deepened our love for each other and brought us together in a way that just being a couple never has.

We toasted to seven years of marriage and many more to come. I'm so thankful to do life with this man. There is no one else I'd rather take on life with than Dave. God knew what he was doing when he brought us together and for that I couldn't be more grateful.
