Pat and Kate are fellow wedding photographers, past clients and now friends. They just celebrated their first wedding anniversary on Sunday and I'm so excited to share their thoughts about this last year with you!! They are certainly quite the pair, Pat with his technical and logical perspective on life, Kate with her open and outgoing personality. Together are a team to be reckoned with having chosen to not only take on life together, but business as well!! I can't wait to see what the next year holds for them, I know that only fantastic adventures await!!
D -- Happy anniversary! I simply cannot believe that it has been a year since your wedding!! Has time flown by for you too?
P&K -- This may have been the fastest year of our lives! It feels like we were just in the midst of all of our wedding planning!D -- What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?
P&K -- We loved the entire day but I think our favorite moment was our First Look. It was so amazing to see each other and it calmed both of our nerves for the rest of the day. It was also great to have that private moment just between the two of us.D -- What has been the best thing that has happened to you as a couple since your wedding last year?
P&K -- I think being married has brought us even closer than we were before (and we were together for 6 years before we ever walked down the aisle!) Marriage definitely solidified our relationship and has made it even stronger. That's definitely been the best thing, in our opinion!
D -- What have you learned about each other over this past year?
P&K -- We've learned to understand each other better and listen to each other's perspectives. We are different in a lot of ways but we now embrace that and build off of it.D -- Traveled anywhere fun?
P&K -- We went to London and Paris on our honeymoon. It was such a great trip and we'd love to go back....like tomorrow! We knew we had to take the opportunity to travel like that then because after marriage, life gets in the way.D -- Any tips you can offer newlyweds for their first year of marriage?
P&K -- Work together on making decisions since you're now "one unit". It's a tough transition but doesn't have to be if you respect each others opinions. Also, just enjoy being a newlywed! This is a time in your life you'll never get back, embrace it!
