It may not feel like spring, but boy oh boy, do I have spring fever! MUST.CLEAN.ALL.THE.THINGS. Maybe it's because I am currently redoing my home office which has forced me to pull everything out of every drawer and examine it's worth or purpose. Or maybe it's the fact that we've let life get in the "way" of a clean home. Whatever the reason I'm feeling the itch to get organized, de-clutter and start with a clean slate. The first step in that process : a home command center.
For months our mail and stray papers have found a place on our countertops, our dining room table and our living room couch. It slowly was driving me nuts and I needed a way to organize it neatly and efficiently. After a few trips to HomeGoods and repurposing many items we already had in our home this little hallway addition came together. Since red and turquoise are the colors in our kitchen and this hallway leads right into that space I decided to echo that color scheme here. I love that I now have a place to menu plan, to hang Jonathan's projects from day care and a spot to organize the mail. It's not completely finished, ie ignore the empty frames, but it's workable and it's made our life much more clutter free!
