Since moving back to the North Shore almost a year ago I've been struck by how much I took this place for granted while growing up. I never realized that some people go their entire life never living near the ocean! Or how close we live to so much history, history that shaped the foundation of this country. New England, specifically the North Shore of Massachusetts, is just an incredible place to live. It's full, rich and beautiful and I'm so thankful to be back!
Now that we are parents, Dave and I find ourselves looking for all sorts of opportunities to make memories with Jonathan and to share with him how lovely this place is. And my hope is to document it all, the adventures and fun that we have together while sharing with you the reasons why we love this part of the world! And for those of you who don't live near the ocean, someday make a trip out here... I promise it's worth it!
Our first adventure together? A trip to the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary where we spotted two beavers, some cranes, a HUGE snake (that I ran away from while Dave took pictures of) and more!! It was a beautiful afternoon and a secluded spot away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. If you're in the area I highly recommend it! Plus I hear if you bring birdseed, the chickadees will eat out of your hand! Definitely worth the trip! I hope for many more adventures together and I promise to document our fun along the way:) Enjoy!
Where should we go next?! Do you have a favorite spot on the North Shore?!
