Red Lion Inn | Brianna & Keith

As a red head myself, when in the company of other redheads, there is an unspoken bond -- a sisterhood of hair if you will. So imagine my delight when I walked into Briana's getting ready suite to discover that not only did Briana have beautiful red hair but her sisters did as well!! Right then, I knew it was going to be an amazing day!!

And what an amazing day it was!! Briana and Keith chose to marry at the Red Lion Inn --  Briana immediately fell in love with the rustic charm of the barn -- the perfect compliment to their gorgeous fall wedding day. The day was accented with rich hues of blue and plum, wild organic flowers and a touch of elegant prep.

But what I loved most about the day was being able to witness Briana & Keith together. The couple met while working as camp counselors years ago. And yet, years after they met, Keith still makes Briana light up. Keith still beams with pride when by Briana's side. They still laugh together as if they were first dating, it's clear that these two are best friends -- a strong foundation that will carry them through this life together!!

Briana and Keith, thank you for inviting us to be part of your amazing day!! I hope you enjoy some of my favorite images!!

Romantic & European Inspired Wedding Shoot with Les Fleurs

This past spring I was honored to be asked to photograph an inspiration shoot with the talented ladies of Les Fleurs. Kerianne, director of Weddings and Events at Les Fleurs, envisioned an editorial shoot embracing old world romance paired with light and airy details, creating an effortlessly romantic vibe with modern and fresh touches.

Kerianne shared, "Our inspiration for this shoot stemmed from the cool, tranquil tones of Serenityβ€”one half of Pantone’s hybrid Color of the Yearβ€”and the natural lushness offered by crisp summer greenery." She continued, "We brought in β€˜something old’ with the candleholders, which were handpicked local antiques, and the compotes, which belonged to my grandmother. "Sentimental pieces can add so much character to your special day.” (excerpt from Swooned feature)

This was such a fun project to shoot -- from the delicately created stationary pieces from Proper Paper to the perfectly styled gowns provided by BHLDN, everything came together beautifully!! I cannot say enough about the rock star team of creatives that participated -- if you're planning a wedding, check out the resources below -- they are simply incredible to work with.

Copper Inspiration Shoot at Warehouse XI

Collaborating is something I believe strongly in so when my good friend and fellow photographer Shannon approached me about creating an inspiration shoot together this past winter, I jumped at the chance. We were incredibly lucky and honored to work with a team of incredible creatives who helped bring the vision of a copper inspired wedding to life -- I continue to be in awe of the magic we were able to create together!!

Warehouse XI, voted best new venue by Venue Report, was our gracious host. The space was a blank canvas and allowed the color palette of reds and copper to pop!! It was important that the details felt-fashion forward and represented our concept of industrial romance. Beach Plum Florals did an amazing job of pulling together flowers that felt fresh and modern but were soft and ethereal as well. Roberta of the Romanticist Studios was our stylist and created a look that balanced industrial, modern and romance perfectly.

For our stationary Roberta collaborated with Kate of Yennygrams to create a beautiful copper mounted paper suite!! Even our escort cards were hand scripted copper plates. Those little touches were what made this collaboration perfection.

Be Our Guest provided table settings and even hand sewed a tulle skirt for our table. (I mean we had a rock star team of creatives!!) They paired a hard metal table top with a delicate place setting and copper accented cutlery. The result was a beautiful mix of metals and textures, a perfect compliment to our venue location and the soft, romantic feel of the florals.

Flair Boston provided a glorious lace corseted ARIA wedding down with an incredible tulle skirt. It paired beautifully with our reception table (noticing a theme here?!) and my favorite dream team of beauty, Amanda McCarthy Beauty & Hair That Moves ensured that our models, Rhonda & Johnny, looked fabulous as well!! These talented creatives brought the vision of Industrial Romance to life and I was honored to work alongside Shannon to photograph it all!!
