Last summer truly felt like it was last month and yet here it is, one year later. Time has raced by for me and I can only imagine that my couples feel the same way!! This is especially true for today's couple celebrating their one year anniversary this week!! So much has changed for Jenny and Joe over this past year. New jobs, a new home, a new furry family member! It's amazing all that can happen within a year and today I'm excited to share the fun journey that Jenny and Joe have embarked on these last twelve months! Happy Anniversary you two!!

D -- Happy anniversary! I simply cannot believe that it has been a year since your wedding!! Has time flown by for you too?

J&J -- WOW! Yes! Married life is so soooo awesome! I love each and every day with Joe! He always knows how to make me smile and laugh.... and I could go on all day about how much he means to me!!D -- What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?

J&J -- My favorite wedding day memory.... wow.. it was such a perfect day, it's hard to pick out just one moment. Although, the moment that we laugh about the most that sticks out in my mind is the cake! It was so us! Joe swears he was going to sweetly feed me a slice, but no, that's not at all what happened!! We definitely ended up smashing cake in each other's faces!! I had cake all down the inside of my dress and all the way up my nose!! This might have made some brides grumpy... but all I could do it laugh. This is just another one of the reasons why I love my husband so much! Even during "sweet" moments we can be silly!D -- What has been the best thing that has happened to you as a couple since your wedding last year?

J&J -- I would say two of the best things that have happened is that we have moved into our first home together in a neighborhood and community that we love... and also, adopting our adorable puppy Bruschi. We picked him up on St. Patty's Day weekend at 9 weeks old. He has been our first "child" and shows as much love for us as we do for each other.D -- What have you learned about each other over this past year?

J&J -- There are two sayings that I often think about (especially through some of the trials that marriage brings): "Love is patient, love is kind" and "Love conquers all." I have learned that I have more patience than ever imagined and that my love for Joe truly conquers (especially during the difficult times). We like to tease and play jokes on each other, but we're always supportive of each other's aspirations and goals in life.D -- Traveled anywhere fun?

J&J -- YES! We flew down to Jamaica for our honeymoon the Monday after the wedding. We were there for 10 days and had many adventures in our first 2 weeks of marriage. We took an ATV tour through an old farm, rode on horseback through the ocean, adventured down a bob sled track and did a LOT of relaxing on the beach! We missed vacationing together soooo much that we planned Honeymoon #2 in Hawaii on the island of Kauai last November. November marked 5 years of us together, so it was extra special! There we did a lot of hiking, again hopped on an ATV tour, this time through an old sugar plantation, and treated ourselves to many delicious & romantic dinners together. We hope to continue our adventurous vacations and will enjoy our next trip out to San Diego to watch my brother Bryan marry the love of his life (Katie) this January!D -- Any tips you can offer newlyweds for their first year of marriage?

J&J -- Love deep. Love hard. Love with everything you've got. Don't be selfish. Remember once you have committed yourself to someone else it is both of you together. Always respect each other's thoughts and emotions. And support each other's goals and aspirations, as wild and crazy as they may be. Know when to give each other some space and never yell at each other when you're angry, those words almost always stick. Most importantly, say "I love you" or express your love to each other every day! A simple "Love you" goes a long way!
