Having arrived the previous fall, Mom & Dad wanted to wait and settle into life as a family of three before their session. How sweet it was to arrive to their home and see how strong a bond they had formed together since her arrival. I love working with black and white images. Maybe it’s because I learned photography through black and white film work. Maybe it’s because some of the first photographers I became familiar with worked in black and white. Perhaps it’s the simplicity of a black and white image that draws me in the most.

So when a client comes to me and shares that they love black and white images, the creative in my heart soars. I delighted in creating a collection of black and white images for this family as they welcomed their son home.

Even after all these years I still find see and appreciate the magic of a still frame, a simple black and white image and the power photography has to share the story of life.

At Home Preemie Newborn Session

With a name like Georgia, you’re bound to be as sweet as a peach. I had the privilege of meeting this little fighter shortly after she joined her family at home, much to the delight of her parents.

A nursery dedicated to all things girly & peach provided the perfect backdrop for this darling session. With an easy approach keeping the focus on comfort, Mom, Dad and Baby enjoyed a relaxing session together while celebrating the big and small milestones that brought them to that exact place - at home with their sweet baby girl.
