Singing Beach Club Wedding Photos

Though downsized from their original plan, Colby & Jen made sure that every moment of their wedding day was magical - and it truly was. Their joy to be together is infectious and the intimate nature of their celebration meant that they could share that joy with each guest who attended. To witness the small and big moments they celebrated together was such an honor and made capturing their day so much fun.

Each with close ties to the North Shore, Colby & Jen chose details and locations that reflect this unique part of Massachusetts. Jen got ready in the home she and Colby share together, a historic carriage house with classic New England touches. Colby prepped for the day at his childhood home not far from the beach and their venue.

For the ceremony and reception Colby & Jen chose the Singing Beach Club, a private beach club located directly on the shore of Singing Beach. The club’s location provides sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and offers a classic beach club feel with accents of vibrant navy and crisp white. The manicured and private grounds were an intimate respite for their ceremony and cocktail party on the lawn. With a paired down guest list Colby & Jen were able to greet each of their guests, sharing laughs and hugs with deep appreciation to be together.

Some of my favorite moments of the year were captured during Jen & Colby’s celebration - the genuine joy and happiness to celebrate amidst such an uncertain and challenging year was an honor to photograph.

Stevens-Coolidge Place Wedding | Natalie & O'Neal

Several weeks ago I was contacted by Natalie who mentioned she was looking for a photographer for her intimate wedding celebration at Stevens-Coolidge Place in North Andover. It's rare that I have the opportunity to photograph smaller weddings and I was delighted to be invited to photograph their beautiful day!!

When I arrived at Stevens-Coolidge Place the sky had turned and the clouds began collecting. I knew that rain was coming and little by little drops of precipitation began to fall. But nothing, not even a heavy rain fall, could keep the smile from Natalie's face. Hidden away from her soon-to-be-hubby O'Neal, Natalie radiated with joy - I knew from that moment this was going to be a celebration to remember!

Natalie walked to the site of their ceremony with her brother on her arm and her daughter by her side. O'Neal awaited her entrance in the sunken garden as their loved ones encircled around them. What had started as a sprinkle turned into a heavy rain as they exchanged their rings. Natalie and O'Neal broke in to laughter, elated that this day had finally come, even with the rain. What a joy it was to be one of the few who had the honor of witnessing their nuptials!

When thinking about how I wanted to share Natalie and O'Neal's celebration, I decided to do something I've never done before -- share their wedding day entirely in black and white!! The intimacy of their day, the rainy backdrop and the beautiful property of Stevens-Coolidge Place made for perfect black and white images - enhancing all of the emotion and joy Natalie and O'Neal experienced on their wedding day. 

Sean & Lindsey's Wedding at St Francis De Sales and Boston Marriott Cambridge

In May, I had the privilege of second shooting for Erin Chapman at Lindsey and Sean's Boston wedding at Saint Francis De Sales in Charleston with a reception at the Boston Marriott Cambridge. I love being able to second shoot for  photographers and I am so grateful for the opportunities I've been given by others. Not only have I been able to go to some fabulous locations, I've met some great couples, all while being able to help out friends. Here are some of my favorites from Lindsey and Sean's day. Enjoy!

The Country Club Brookline Wedding | John & Carissa

It's in the way that he whispers you are beautiful. It's in the way that his hand gently touches her back. It's in the way that she laughs at his jokes. It's in the way that she speaks to him. John and Carisa have a love all their own, a special language that just the two of them speak.

John and Carisa said "I do" on May 14 in front of their friends and family. They were married at the Church of the Redeemer followed by their reception at The Country Club both in Chestnut Hill. I was honored to be there to document part of their special day. Here are just some of my favorites.
