Originally scheduled for March when Covid hit and the world seemingly shutdown over night, Stacy and Rick were gracious and understanding as we postponed their newborn session until later that spring. Little did we know that three months later we would still be dealing with shutdowns and all the unknown of 2020. But instead of rescheduling further we went into creative mode figuring out how to still host their session safely.
At this point precious Ainsley was a three month old babe. These two had some parenting under their belts and felt confident to venture out into the world with their little one. On a blustery and seasonably cold June morning we met at Rexhame beach, one of the few beaches open to the public at that time. Socially distanced I captured their new family of three, my first session in 2020, insane winds and all.
While the conditions might not have been ideal for a newborn session, it felt glorious to be behind the camera again serving my clients, documenting the growth of this sweet family. Despite all the chaos the world was in, we celebrated hope and resiliency and new life. That felt pretty darn good.
