Tucked away in the rolling farmlands on the North Shore of Boston sits Connemara House. Driving up to the main estate feels like stepping back in time and a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This privacy and tranquility of Connemara House is what just what drew Mary and Ty to select the estate to host their wedding. 

Taking full advantage of the sprawling grounds, Mary & Ty hosted their entire celebration from start to finish at Connemara - both getting ready in the main house, choosing their first look among the gardens and dancing the night away under a sailcloth tent. 

Relaxed elegance was the goal. With delicate floral arrangements, custom sips from Cisco Brewery and casual seating for guests along the lawns - it was exactly what Mary & Ty envisioned for the start of their new adventure as husband and wife.

Connemara House Tospfield, Engagement Photos

After falling in love with the private feel and location of Connemara House in Topsfield, Mary & Ty knew that this beautiful and historic estate on the North Shore of Massachusetts was the perfect place to host their wedding. Atop a field overlooking a field of apple trees, Connemara offers pristine manicured grounds and gorgeous views of the surrounding valley. For their engagement session, Mary & Ty wanted to celebrate their wedding location and chose to leisurely explore the house grounds on a beautiful spring evening.

Captured by our talented associate photographer Lauren, Mary & Ty’s engagement session was the epitome of spring. The estate’s expansive selection of fruit trees were just in bloom and the main house painted in stately white, stood as a beacon amongst the lush green landscape. Having fallen in love with the historic property, Mary & Ty felt right at home on the Adirondack chairs that overlooked the flowering trees. And who wouldn’t love a quiet moment alone amongst such beauty?

Winter Willowdale Estate Wedding | "Let's Give Them A Wedding"

At the beginning of January a friend and fellow photographer, Shannon, posted about her clients needing to cancel their wedding. They had just found out that Erick, the groom, was very sick and they couldn't afford both a wedding and his aggressive treatments. Upon hearing the news, Shannon desperately wanted to do something to help. So she enlisted the help of Facebook and reached out to vendor friends seeing if they could possibly donate their time, services or art to help make Erick and Jennifer's dream wedding, not a cancelation, but a reality.  

What happened next was simply unbelievable. What Shannon coined as "Let's Give Them A Wedding" went viral and wedding industry peers from New England, across the country and even across the globe began pouring in offering to donate their services. They, like Shannon, were deeply moved by Erick and Jennifer's story and wanted to do whatever they could to help. It was simply amazing to watch what started out as a simple "plea" on Facebook, in a matter of days turn into something so much bigger.  

Before Shannon had a date nailed down I offered to assist and second shoot if she needed anyone. Knowing that she had hundreds of other photographers offering the same thing, I waited for Shannon to make her choice for the team that would be best suited to her style and for Erick and Jennifer's needs. I was absolutely floored and honored when Shannon contacted me to see if I was available. I was overwhelmed to be a part of something so special and I immediately jumped on board. Along with the talented Steph Stevens we rounded out the photography team. There was also an amazing team of videographers, Jeff Brouillet Films, capturing the day as well. Fall Willowdale Estate Wedding

Sometimes it feels as if Jackie and Damian have been together forever. Their love story started almost ten years ago during their freshman year of Harvard. Their love has continued through jobs, travel, moves and PhD degrees at Yale. Or so that's what we thought! As Jackie's Dad toasted the couple on their wedding day he revealed an unknown story to their guests! Who knew that Jackie and Damian might have met years before, before they were even born! Jackie's mom and Damian's mom both had the same doctor, who delivered Jackie and Damian just days apart! Some love, well some love is just meant to be! 

Having grown up in the TriTown on the North Shore, it was very fitting for Jackie to choose the Willowdale Estate in Topsfield. The couple pulled together an amazing event with understated rustic elegance. Willowdale was the perfect fit for the couple.  

Jackie and Damian, I couldn't be happier for you two!! I can't wait to see where you're next adventure takes you as husband and wife -thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of such a special day, enjoy!!
