Having recently moved to their South End apartment, Cari & Cam wanted their engagement session to reflect their new hometown and all the things that they love about Boston. One of those things : living a stones throw away from the South End Buttery. Who wouldn’t love living near good espresso and delicious pastries?!

Of course my favorite kind of sessions are the ones that involve caffeine, so I was delighted when I spent an early spring morning with Cari & Cam, walking their charming Boston neighborhood and enjoying sips from South End Buttery - a perfect way to celebrate the start of a new adventure in a new city.

Boston Engagement Session At Home

What’s better than popping some champagne in the comfort of your home? Haley & Colby chose to start their engagement session at their apartment for a relaxed setting where they could ease into being photographed. Snuggled up on the couch they giggled together about being in front of the camera and cheers to all the amazing memories and moments to come.

Braving the cold February temperatures we ventured outside to explore their neighborhood, the Charlestown Navy Yard, a historic and charm filled Boston neighborhood. With sweeping view of Boston Harbor and the city skyline, the Navy Yard provided a dramatic backdrop to cap off their chilly engagement session.

Engagement Session at Castle Island

It seems like Kerin and I have been trying to plan this engagement session forever. And each time it seemed like Mother Nature wanted to work against us. But not last week!! Despite a forecast for rain and thunderstorms, Boston graced us with the most beautiful of evenings, perfect for Kerin & Ryan's engagement session at Castle Island. When we arrived we almost couldn't believe that the session was going to actually happen!!

And what a great evening we had! As the sun began to dip into the horizon, we walked through the park, enjoyed the view of Boston Harbor and cooled off with a lovely ocean breeze. Even better, I got to spend quality time with this lovely couple, the epitome of laid back, confident and charismatic. Kerin & Ryan will be trying the knot in Newport later this fall and I just know their wedding will be an epic celebration!!

Copley Square and South End Buttery Engagement Session

We are in a never ending winter here in the Northeast, or at least that's what it feels like. Yesterday we were slammed AGAIN with a batch of snow making our total count, well, A LOT. But despite my hatred for the cold and those pesky white flakes, I have to admit that there is a beautiful charm to Boston after some freshly fallen snow. We lucked out with just that, an abundance of winter charm in the city for Emma and Paul's engagement session this past weekend. Following another storm, the city was dusted in a blanket of white.  

Emma and Paul live and work in and around the city. It's also where Paul proposed (in a candle lit suite at the Fairmont!) Fittingly, Emma wanted to revisit some of the spots around town that are meaningful to the two of them. We spent the afternoon exploring the city while Paul and Emma did their best to stay warm with lots of snuggles and laughs! 

We started our time together at the Boston Public Library, one of Emma's favorite spots in the city. We meandered around Copley Square and tried our best to stay warm!! It was COLD on Sunday, so we popped in to one of Emma and Paul's favorite spots, the South End Buttery for some coffee and treats.

Emma and Paul, I had a great afternoon with you as we wandered the streets of Boston visiting some of your favorite places. I can't wait to celebrate with you this spring -- Enjoy your images!

Mike & Monica's Post Office Square and Fenway Park Engagement

Monica is a fiesty Colombian who keeps Mike on his toes. But that's one of the reasons why he loves her. Her zest for life brings out the best in Mike and when they are together, he lights up. They balance each other out, complimenting another in their weaknesses and strengths. Most importantly they like to have fun and they like to make each other laugh. And after all is said and done, that's what helps keep a relationship going strong!

My husband and I have known Mike and Monica for several years now, and have had the joy of watching their journey towards marriage. Being able to witness the beginning stages of their relationship till now as they move into the next stage of their life, has been so much fun. I can't wait to see what this next part of life has in store for these two:) This past weekend the four of us spent the afternoon wandering the neighborhood where Mike works, with a stop at Fenway Park, for their engagement session. And despite the frigid temperatures those smiles never left their faces, they were just happy to be with each other! Ahh, I can't tell you how excited I am to share this engagement session with you later this week! Dave and I have known Mike and Monica for several years now. I remember the first time Mike started talking about this girl he met and how there was this spark and excitement in his voice as he talked about her! It seems like yesterday that they met and know here they are preparing for their wedding! This past weekend I had the joy of photographing their engagement session in downtown Boston and per Monica's request, Fenway Park! There will be lots more to share on Friday, so make sure to come back! For now here's a sneak peek of what's to come:)

A Preview of Nick and Stephanie's Harvard Square Engagement

A warm afternoon + Harvard Square + some dreamy golden light + an adorable couple in love  = one of my favorite engagement sessions to date! This past Sunday, Nick, Stephanie and I roamed the streets of Harvard Square where these two lovebirds met five years ago. It was a beautiful and unseasonably warm afternoon, perfect for an engagement session!  I took WAY to many photos, but how could I not?!
