Matt and Lizzie love the Spit, it represents so much of their shared history and story together. With a boardwalk that seemingly floats on top the dunes and leads out the rocky coastline, it truly is a magical place. On a cool October evening we spent time exploring their favorite place, basking in the late fall light. Matt lovingly teasing Lizzie along the way while her cheeks flushed red.

Yesterday I kicked off the Best of 2017 series with some of my favorite portrait work of the last year and today I'm sharing my favorite engagement images!! Looking back I was reminded of how amazing each of my DZP Couples are. I love the time we get to spend with each other before the wedding and the opportunity I have to get to know these wonderful people!!
I kicked things off in January for a cold and blustery session in Boston. Throughout the year my couples headed to the beach, estates, the city, even their homes, each session tailored to their unique relationship. Just as my portrait sessions, I made the goal to incorporate film and I loved the results!! Each session was as unique as the couple I was photographing and made for a beautiful year of images -- enjoy a few of my favorites!!

It's hard to believe that another season is winding down to an end. Jessica and Sean were one of my last engagement sessions of the year and I could't have asked for a better couple to spend it with!! This sweet couple will be tying the knot next fall and they really wanted their engagement session to reflect this colorful time of year. And while the foliage wasn't the most spectacular, we managed to find a few pockets of brightly colored leaves!! Jessica & Sean chose Jamaica Pond where they spend much of their time together and where they have created many memories. I hope we were able to add another reason for them to love this part of the city!! Enjoy some of my fave images!!

On a beautiful spring evening I met with Jennifer and Nate on Boston's Harbor front just as the sun began to dip near the horizon. Jennifer and Nate met at Boston College and they wanted their engagement session to reflect their love for the city and the place they fell in love. The evening offered candy colored skies and sweeping views of the harbor. I loved having the opportunity to get to know Jennifer and Nate and I can't wait for their wedding this fall - enjoy a few of my favorite images!!

On an early January morning I met Alyssa & Younes in Copley Square for their engagement session. Since they live abroad, we had a small window of time when they would be visiting the states -- we crossed our fingers for a sunny day and we were met with a beautiful and seasonally *warm* weather.
Alyssa and Younes were a delight -- it was so much fun having the opportunity to get to know them both and witness the beautiful friendship they share together. Alyssa and Younes will wed in July in the Copley Square area so we had a wonderful time exploring this quintessential part of town. Enjoy some of my favorites from their lovely Copley Square engagement session!!

If fall in New England is magical then fall in the South End is perfection. Earlier this month I spent a lovely crisp fall afternoon with Emily & Nick exploring their beloved South End. Known for it's boutique shops, amazing restaurants and charming brownstone apartments, the South End is filled with character, it was the perfect backdrop for their very Boston engagement session.
Just blocks from the hustle and bustle of downtown, the South End feels like a world away with a quiet neighborhood vibe. Emily and Nick just love this area of town and it was so fun walking through some of their favorite spots in the South End.
It was an absolutely BLAST hanging out with these two. Emily is never without her beautiful smile and Nick has the ability to make you feel like an old friend. Together they make a beautiful pair, not just in their hospitable spirit but in now they fit perfectly together.
Emily & Nick, thank you for treating me to such a fun afternoon with you!! Enjoy some of my favorite images from their beautiful South End engagement session!!

We are in a never ending winter here in the Northeast, or at least that's what it feels like. Yesterday we were slammed AGAIN with a batch of snow making our total count, well, A LOT. But despite my hatred for the cold and those pesky white flakes, I have to admit that there is a beautiful charm to Boston after some freshly fallen snow. We lucked out with just that, an abundance of winter charm in the city for Emma and Paul's engagement session this past weekend. Following another storm, the city was dusted in a blanket of white.
Emma and Paul live and work in and around the city. It's also where Paul proposed (in a candle lit suite at the Fairmont!) Fittingly, Emma wanted to revisit some of the spots around town that are meaningful to the two of them. We spent the afternoon exploring the city while Paul and Emma did their best to stay warm with lots of snuggles and laughs!
We started our time together at the Boston Public Library, one of Emma's favorite spots in the city. We meandered around Copley Square and tried our best to stay warm!! It was COLD on Sunday, so we popped in to one of Emma and Paul's favorite spots, the South End Buttery for some coffee and treats.
Emma and Paul, I had a great afternoon with you as we wandered the streets of Boston visiting some of your favorite places. I can't wait to celebrate with you this spring -- Enjoy your images!
