The End of 2011 | A Thank You From Me To You

If you had asked me what I envisioned for the coming year in January of 2011 I wouldn't have even been able to come close to what this year has been. The people, the events, the places traveled, it's been overwhelming to take a look back at these past months. Thank you for being part of such a wonderful year. For allowing me to be a part of your lives, for sharing a little bit of who you are and for giving me permission to live out my dreams. Without you, none of this would be possible! I'm so grateful for each moment experienced this past year and I eagerly await what 2012 will bring!

Thank You From Me To You.

A little behind the scenes action ;)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Me to You!

Hi everyone!! I have a little secret. I've done a little mental check out. Try as I might to fight it, my brain has officially gone on vacation! I've been lucky enough this past week to be able to spend some time with some close friends and still be able to check things off my to do list! But after 12:30pm today I am officially going on vacation! I plan on spending the next few days enjoying family and NOT checking my email, Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest and just resting. (Ok I lied, I'll probably check them all but I won't be spending a lot of time there:)) I can barely keep my eyes open as I write this and I am realizing that my body just needs time to rest, mentally and physically! But before I checked off I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from me to you! I am so excited about what 2012 has to bring and so grateful for what 2011 gave. It was a great year with so many wonderful memories! (Next week I'm going to have a bit of a recap of this year on the blog so stay tuned for that!) Until then I hope you spend the rest of the year surrounded by family and friends. And maybe with a slice of pie or two :-P!

From our family to yours, Happy Holidays!

Love,

Dave, Jasmine, Debbie, Maya!

The Bookworm List 2011

undefined

What a year of reading it has been!! To be quite honest, I'd forgotten just how much I've read this year. It's actually been surprising to me the amount of information that I've consumed! Having this series has been a great way to go back to the books I've read and loved. I hope that you've enjoyed this series as much as I have!

Starting in the New Year this series will look a little different. I wanted to have a way for you to be more involved in this reading series. After all, being able to participate and voice your opinion is what makes this exciting for me and hopefully for you! I have decided to focus on one book a month. Instead of it being random to you, after each review I will be announcing what book I will be reading next, in the hopes that you will read along with me and participate in the review the following month!:) While I've truly enjoyed sharing some of my more leisurely reads with you here, I felt like the series was a little disjointed. In effort to make it more cohesive and informative I am keep the series focused to Business and Photography. This doesn't mean that I won't be sharing my beach reads with you in the future, it just won't be in this format. I am still keeping the giveaway aspect as well. I am passionate about sharing knowledge and reading and love being able to pass that along to you! (provided it's a good read;)) I'm really excited for how this will all take shape and I hope you are too!

Because I am still in the middle of finishing Entreleadership by Dave Ramsey (I devoured the first half and have been trying to find time to dive into the second) I'm going to save that review to kick off the series starting in January. If you're interested grab yourself a copy and read along! I'm loving it so far and I'm really excited to review it here!

Below is the Bookworm list for 2010 and 2011. I thought I'd share what I read last year before I started this series because I read some good books too! Here's to another year of reading!!

Ask Anything: Visual Supply Company Presets

VSCO (Visual Supply Company) has been a huge buzzword on Twitter over that last few months or so. I first heard about this company from seeing a tweet from Nate of Image is Found. I was so intrigued about these "film" presets that I decided to take advantage of their "sale" price last month and clicked buy.

I really didn't know what to expect. I don't shoot in film and my editing style is more clean than the grainy look of film. But I had heard so many great things about the presets that I thought I'd take a chance and try them out.

After playing for a few weeks now, I can tell you that these are some powerful presets! Customized for Canon and Nikon shooters they work with your file specifically to create the best looking image! Wow. They are highly stylized however, so if the film look is not for your, neither are these presets.

As a former film shooter, the idea of being able to create the look of film with a digital image is really exciting. I can get the look of Kodak, Fuji, Ilford, all with a digital file and all with the power of Lightroom. With one click I can transform my image and still have the ability to fine tune the photo and make adjustments where needed. The presets are consistent and reliable and make editing a true breeze! Of course keeping in mind that your exposures are correct. These presets are made to create a look and feel, they are not for correcting exposures.

Within the presets there are also adjustment presets to further customize. Darken skies, add a fade, decrease/increase saturation, add grain and more. You can take the preset and really make an image that is truly your own. It's been really fun playing and creating something outside of my normal editing!

Hands down I think that these presets are definitely worth their price tag and are quite the steal. Definitely check VSCO out if you are looking for that film look without the work of using film! And while this is isn't my typical editing style, I am looking forward to having these for personal projects. And maybe an image or two in my editing;) Super powerful, customizable and consistent, these are the best Lightroom presets I have ever purchased. With simply one click I can create an image that I am proud to show my clients, family or friends. Anything that can help make editing faster, easier and more efficient makes me happy:)

I used Mike and Monica's engagement session to demonstrate the different looks you can create with VSCO. If you'd like to see what their engagement session looked like without the presets, take a look here. The below images are SOOC and the presets have been directly applied to the RAW image. I've indicated my adjustments and tweaks below as well as what preset I used on each image:)

If you've been on the fence about whether or not these presets are for you, I hope I've given you a glimpse at what you can do with them and how the various film looks effect your images. If you have any further questions, please feel free to leave a comment below or email me at deborahzparker@mac.com. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

A Portrait Special Just For You!

Can you believe that there is only two weeks left in 2011? Where has this year gone?! I could swear to you that April was just last month, but then you'd probably think I was crazy. Each month pasted faster than the next and at times I felt like I was just spinning as the year marched forward! It's been such a wonderful year that at times I wished time would move into slow motion, so that I could truly enjoy each moment. But despite my best attempts a new year is upon us and I'm definitely looking forward to what it will bring! Part of that excitement includes an announcement on all Life Captured sessions. Life Captured sessions are what I call all portrait sessions, as my goal is to capture your life and who you are in a relaxed, natural and real way! From family portraits to head shots to maternity portraits to just everyday sessions, I want to photograph your life! I had the priviledge of working with some great families and people this past year and I had so much fun working on these sessions that I wanted to do even more this year! And I wanted to give you the opportunity to get in on the fun with a limited time discount on on all sessions!

Life Captured sessions are regularly priced at $350 but for a limited time I am offering a special rate on these sessions for ... drum roll please ... $250 (excluding sales tax)! That's a $100 savings! Each session includes a 1 hour at a location of your choosing (up to 45 minutes from Boston) and also includes your high resolution images digital images. Each Life Captured session will be hosted in an online gallery which you can share with friends and family and can also purchase prints directly from.

I'm so excited to offer this special to you but you have to hurry! There are only 10 slots available at this discounted rate and once they are gone, they are gone! Now is a great time to book your Spring or Summer session at this special rate! Heck, if you're feeling adventurous why not book a session for this winter?! Here's to a New Year! And while we might not be able to slow down time, we can have the images that capture our life in moments!

Mike & Monica's Post Office Square and Fenway Park Engagement

To sign Mike and Monica's guestbook and to be notified when their images are online, click here.

Monica is a fiesty Colombian who keeps Mike on his toes. But that's one of the reasons why he loves her. Her zest for life brings out the best in Mike and when they are together, he lights up. They balance each other out, complimenting another in their weaknesses and strengths. Most importantly they like to have fun and they like to make each other laugh. And after all is said and done, that's what helps keep a relationship going strong!

My husband and I have known Mike and Monica for several years now, and have had the joy of watching their journey towards marriage. Being able to witness the beginning stages of their relationship till now as they move into the next stage of their life, has been so much fun. I can't wait to see what this next part of life has in store for these two:) This past weekend the four of us spent the afternoon wandering the neighborhood where Mike works, with a stop at Fenway Park, for their engagement session. And despite the frigid temperatures those smiles never left their faces, they were just happy to be with each other! Please enjoy Mike and Monica's very Boston engagement session, and make sure to leave them some love below:)!

The image below was processed with the new VSCO presets for Lightroom. Make sure to check in next week as I'll be reviewing them:)!

J'Adore: That Lovin' Feeeeeling

There was NOTHING on tv last night. And I mean nothing (two irish ladies in puffy dresses singing Celtic folk songs anyone?). We don't have cable so our tv watching is relegated to reruns and baaaad tv. And last night I was desperate for something to watch.  For a moment I did considered suffering through those two ladies in their puffy dresses. That was before I stumbled upon one of my favorite movies, TOP GUN!

Yes this movie is all cheese. And I love every minute of it. Raging electric guitar, 80's wash jeans, frizzy hair and awesome lines like "I feel the need, the need for speed!" It's what great movies are made of;)  Even my nickname is Top Gun related. Goosie, aka Goose, given to my by my best friend, because after all I am her wingman, er woman.

So if you need a few minutes of electric guitar, men in uniform and a very young Tom Cruise to help you get through this dreary day, click below. You don't want to miss that lovin' feeling!

Featured: Style Me Pretty and Heart Love Weddings

Is it cheating if I include a recent blog feature starring my husband and I in this blog series?  No? Ok! Well then you won't mind as I gush for a few moments on the fact that our Love Recaptured anniversary session was recently featured on Style Me Pretty! Soon after our photographer Katelyn, shot the session she sent me a message saying that SMP had picked up the session to feature on their Massachusetts SMP blog. And then I proceeded to freak out, excitedly explaining to the hubster that we, us, me and him, were going to be on Style Me Pretty! It was so fun to be on the "bride" side of being featured, especially on such a prestigious wedding blog like Style Me Pretty. And looking back on this feature and our shoot, is such a great reminder that I married the best man. Ever! Check out the feature here!

Another wedding blog that I absolutely adore is Heart Love Weddings by blogger Alexandra Beauregard. I first heard of this blog when Alex randomly selected an image from Josiah and Allison's Love Recaptured session this past summer. I was stunned and honored that she chose to use one of my images! I immediately fell in love with her writing and her beautiful brand and I am so excited to work with her again on another upcoming feature:) Recently Alexandra featured Josiah and Allison's session in it's entirety, which you can see here.

I just had to include this image in this post. After featuring Josiah and Allison's session, Alexandra sent ME a thank you package with a note and some delicious candy. Shouldn't I be the one doing thanking?? It was such a delicious (hehe) surprise. What a great way to connect deeper with the photographers and vendors that you feature beyond just a thank you email! Plus now I am a fan for life!;) Thank you Alexandra!!

The Winner Of The Best of 2011

This morning I am so excited to announce the winner of  The Best of 2011 | Vote For Your Favorite contest that was held over on my Facebook page last week:) (If you haven't become a fan, Like today and stay up to date on all things Deborah Zoe Photo:)) I was so overwhelmed at the response to this end of the year round up! It was so fun receiving notification after notification as your friends and family voted and commented on all your images. It was even more fun to read what people wrote under each image and feeling the love your family and friends have for each one of you!

While I wish I could have picked everyone, there could only be one winner. So without further delay, the winner of their very own canvas for their home is....drum roll please.....

Emily & Wes!

A Preview of Mike & Monica's Post Office Square and Fenway Park Engagement

Ahh, I can't tell you how excited I am to share this engagement session with you later this week! Dave and I have known Mike and Monica for several years now. I remember the first time Mike started talking about this girl he met and how there was this spark and excitement in his voice as he talked about her! It seems like yesterday that they met and know here they are preparing for their wedding! This past weekend I had the joy of photographing their engagement session in downtown Boston and per Monica's request, Fenway Park! There will be lots more to share on Friday, so make sure to come back! For now here's a sneak peek of what's to come:)

Life Captured: Meet The Schmidts

Remember that time when we went to Chicago? We'll I'm finally getting the chance to blog some of it! Part of the reason for our trip was to visist my aunt and uncle. The second was to see our dear friends, TJ and Tricia, who you get to meet today! I feel like The Schmidts have become an honorary family on the Deborah Zoe Photo blog. I mean they've been featured on here over three times! First there was when Tricia was pregnant with their first baby Mason. Then of course Mason had to be featured in all his adorable newborn-ness which you can see here and here. And now their second precious baby, Julia, has her very own blog post (which she is graciously sharing with her brother;)). I love these four, so, so, SO, much and being able to send a few days with them at their new home made my heart incredibly happy. While I still wish they lived in Boston, being able to see them becoming settled and happy in their new life in Wisconsin makes me joyful:) Thanks goodness for things like Skype, Facebook and texting. Ya know, for those times when we just need to talk while shopping at Target. (And Tricia, I'm still waiting on my 4:30am wakeup call from Mason;)) So everyone, meet one of my favorite families, The Schmidts:)!

Wedding Love: Professional Makeup and the Joys of Fake Eyelashes

This my mom and I on my wedding day (I look like a baby!). It was the first time that my mom had ever had her makeup professionally done and she was nervous. I couldn't believe that someone wouldn't want to have their makeup done but she proved me wrong! My mom's a no fuss kind of person and so for her makeup was a luxury she didn't always indulge in. To spend a morning being pampered and done up was something outside of her comfort zone. But in the end she decided to just go for it and look at the results! She was beautiful! After all was said and done, she was very happy she chose to get her make up professionally done.

There can be all sorts of reasons against getting your make up done. You think you can do it yourself, makeup isn't your thing, you can't afford it. I've been there! As a person who doesn't wear makeup everyday, I find the whole thing very intimidating! And when it came to planning my own wedding, I had no idea where to start in regards to make up. And because we were on a super tight budget, professional makeup services were low on the budget priority list.

I just CRINGE thinking about that today, but six years ago as a 22 year old bride to be that was the stage I was at in life. There wasn't anyone encouraging me to get my make up done and I didn't know nearly as much as I know now, at least when it comes to makeup and photography:) The more I thought about it, I wondered if other Brides felt this way too. Where other Brides intimidated by makeup? Did other Brides considered not having their make up done? And so I thought I'd share what I've learned over the past few years. My hope is to equip you with more information about makeup and makeup artists and how working with professionals can have a dramatic impact on not only your wedding images, but also your confidence in your beauty!

Over the past few years, I've learned that makeup artists are trained to help you look your best. Beyond being professionals and trained in the art of makeup (yes, I believe it's an art form!), they have the ability to look at you in a completely different light than you may see yourself. As woman we are our own worst critics, especially when it comes to our looks. We often hold back or rule things out because we don't think it's the right fit for us. The great thing about makeup artists is that they are a sounding board when it comes to our appearance. With their trained eye, they can give us honest opinions on what would be best for our face shape, our complexion, our eye color and other areas where we may be blinded by our own opinions. Their goal is for us to look our best despite our insecurities, timidness or fear. Makeup artists and hair stylists for that matter, can be our champions to help build our confidence in our appearance.

I will often hear Brides saying that they'll just do their own makeup for their wedding. Often this is because people want to save money, especially when following a wedding budget. (Remember, I was the Bride that didn't even bother to budget in professional makeup, so if you're in this category, I understand!) What I think is key, is that the reason why I didn't budget in makeup services is that at the time I didn't place a high value on the service. But after a last minute decision to have it done, I quickly realized the importance of having your make up professionally done! Professional make up artists understand how to do your make up so that you photograph beautifully. They understand that certain facial features need to be highlighted, how make up photographs and what a photographer is looking for, so  together we can make the Bride look absolutely stunning. So, if you're trying to cut back costs, I'd encourage you to look at your budget and invest appropriately in the area of your appearance. Your are the star of your wedding day and deserve to look absolutely your best. You want to be able to look back on your wedding images years from now and remember just how stunningly beautiful you were!

Brides can also be intimidated by the whole process of make up. Maybe they are like me and don't wear makeup every day, so they feel to wear makeup on their wedding day would not be "them". You want to look natural, to look like yourself. The wonderful thing about makeup is, that when applied appropriately, is highlights your best features, allowing you to look like the best version of yourself. You still look like you, but with eye liner;)  Hiring a professional makeup artist ensures that your makeup will be done correctly, that you will indeed look natural and not like a circus clown. A professional makeup artist will always ask for your opinion and allow you to give feedback so that together you can create a look that best suites you. And while some of you might disagree with me, I've seen first hand the transformation of what well applied make up can do to a woman. Not only in her appearance but in the confidence she has in herself. And when you are confident you radiate from the inside out!

As a photographer, I am always happy to know that my Brides are choosing to invest in professional makeup. Think of it as an investment in your self confidence. Having my own makeup done has completely changed the way that I see myself. We recently had the chance to have our photographs taken and the confidence that I had in front of the camera was off the charts. I felt beautiful because I knew that my makeup artist had taken the time to make me look beautiful. She highlighted my best features so that I looked like myself, I looked natural. It's something that every woman should be able to experience at least once in their life (if not many more times!!:), and especially on their wedding day.

The last thing that I'll say about professional makeup is this: PLEASE GET FAKE EYELASHES!! I know people have all sorts of opinions on fake eyelashes but I am one of the BIGGEST lovers of the fake lash:) Often my Brides are concerned that they look fake, simply because they are not used to seeing their lashes that long. But trust me, they add a POW to your images, open up your eyes and add contrast to your face. Would you have known that all the woman in this post are wearing fake eyelashes? (Including yours truly below) Trust me, fake eyelashes are the best.  They are Husband approved;)

Here are some fabulous Makeup Artists and Hair Stylists that I have had the pleasure of working with over the past few years. These ladies will help you feel absolutely beautiful on your wedding day! *Lena did my hair and makeup for the shoot above:)*

Pursuit 31: Start At The Beginning

"Do you remember a time when you saw someone doing something and you said to yourself, 'I have to do that?'"

We sat quietly together, letting the words that Karen just spoke sink into our hearts. Tears streamed down my face. Unexpected emotion poured forth and there wasn't enough tissues in the room to keep up.

I remembered back to when I started my business several years ago. I saw others building their businesses, serving their clients, blessing their families and lifting other photographers up. And I said to myself, "I have to do that." That is the why I became a wedding photographer. That is where my passion lies.

But over the past year there have been times where I have lost focus of the why. Instead I focused my energy, my time and my self worth somewhere else entirely: in numbers. Twitter followers, Facebook followers, blog comments, site hits, you name it, I tracked it. And studied it. And over-analyzed it. And found my worth in it. And in an industry as competitive and popularity driven as the one I am in, it is hard not to be caught up in finding your worth in numbers. The more Facebook friends I have, the more credible I become. The more blog comments I gain, the better I am as a photographer. The more people who follow me on Twitter, the cooler I appear to be. It's attractive and seductive and tempting. But yet my real worth, as a person, as an artist, as a human being, is not found here. Why was I allowing it to rule in my business and my life?

So as Karen asked the question, "Do you remember a time when you saw someone doing something and you said to yourself, 'I have to do that?'" I cried. I remembered the why. I told myself to begin there again. Look to the reason why I started my business and find my worth, my value, my purpose there. Encourage others, bless my family, serve my clients, create art. If in the process I gain a few Facebook friends, great. But that should never be the reason why I do anything. And that should never be where I find my worth.

If you find yourself in this place, I've been there, I am there. It's a daily struggle to not be caught up in it all. I encourage you to go back to the beginning. Remember the why of what you do.  Do you remember a time when you saw someone doing something and you said to yourself, "I have to do that?" Start there. Everything else is just icing on the cake.

This past week I had the opportunity to attend a Pursuit 31 retreat in New Haven Connecticut led by Karen Stott. At it's core, it's a workshop about finding balance between your life and your business, something that has become more and more difficult for me as my business has grown. What I didn't realize was the impact that those two days at the retreat would have on my heart and my business. Those two days helped me to regain focus and move back to the core of my business and who I am. I feel so blessed to have been able to be there and to be able to have shared in the experience with such a special group of woman. It's something I will always be grateful for.

As part of the workshop we had a time of shooting, which I am SUPER excited to share with you below. We got to work some amazing vendors to create a Notebook themed shoot. The models ROCKED it out and it was such a blast to work with each person:) (For a list of the wonderful people that helped pull the afternoon together, please scroll to the end of the post)

Here are just a few of the awesome ladies doing their thing!:)

J'Adore: All Things Christmas

With only one day left in November the year is racing towards the end. And that means only one thing: It's time for Christmas!! Oh how I love this time of year! The red and green, the delicious food, the decorations, the holiday cheer! While I love everything Christmas related, there are few certain things that I look forward to most during the Holiday season. Here is a short list of the things that I J'Adore at Christmas!

1. White Christmas --  This is a holiday tradition for me, I have to watch this movie at least once in the month of December. Growing up with a mom who loved musicals I was always surrounded by singing and dancing. This movie encompasses everything that I love: Singing, dancing and Christmas. Yes, please!

2. Williams-Sonoma Peppermint Bark -- There is just something so special and delicious about mixing peppermint and chocolate together. YUM!

3. A Very She & Him Christmas -- Who doesn't love Zooey!? Combine some old Christmas tunes with her deep and folk-sy voice and it's a perfect holiday combo.

4. Skinny Peppermint Mocha -- First there was the skinny peppermint mocha, then I discovered short cups at Starbucks! Perfect for those moments when your craving just a taste of this amazing Holiday treat!

5. Elf - "You stink, you smell like beef and cheese!" Will Ferrell is arguably his best in this movie about an man, er, elf, trying to find his Father. Oh and it stars Zooey Deschanel, awesomesauce.

6. Yankee Candle - Who doesn't love candles? Especially ones that smell like Christmas! Mhmm, cinnamon and sugar:)

7. Loft Party Dress - I love a good party dress and this one from the Loft does not disappoint!

8. Crate and Barrel appetizer plates - The hostess in me is obsessed will all things party related, so when I saw these adorable holiday appetizer plates I just about fell in love. With plates.

Shop Small on Small Business Saturday!

I don't know about you but this past Friday I enjoyed some Black Friday shopping. After five years of always working on Thanksgiving and Black Friday I was determined to enjoy some good deals and crazy crowds. And while I wasn't up with the masses at 4am, I did managed to score some great deals and knock off a good chunk of the Christmas shopping list!

Have you noticed that weekend after Thanksgiving has turned into a shop until you drop multi day event? First there was Black Friday, then there was Cyber Monday. And now there is Small Business Saturday. And I couldn't be more excited about this new tradition! What better way to support the local economy than dedicating a day just for small businesses! After spending the day at the mall yesterday, choosing to shop small is a refreshing option in shopping season dedicated to large business!

In honor of this new tradition, I have a gift for all of you. Click here or the image below to play a little game to "unwrap" your present! And as always if you have any questions, please feel free to email me at deborahzparker@mac.com

Happy Shopping Small!

A Happy Thanksgiving From Me!

Six years of turkeys. Six years of gathering family together. Six years of celebrating Thanksgiving as husband and wife. This Thursday will mark the sixth Thanksgiving that Dave and I have hosted for our family since we were married way back in 2006. We started hosting as a way to bring our families together instead of traveling to them. I was working as a news photographer and as so I was always covering a Thanksgiving day football game or games. It was almost impossible to be able to travel to do different states in the same day while working, so we brought them to us! (I wrote a post about my thoughts on working and hosting Thanksgiving in 2009, which you can read here) I would scurry off early in the morning to work while Dave would begin working in the kitchen. As the day rolled on family would trickle in and by the time I made it back home, dinner would be ready. Come to think of it, I had it pretty good! ;)

This will be the first year that I get to enjoy the holiday completely. Being the first year that I have not had to work, I'll be home helping Dave prepare the Turkey and enjoying the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I'll be home to welcome our family and stuff my face full of appetizers. I'll be home to enjoy the holiday and I couldn't be happier!

Below is a flash back to the past five Thanksgivings we've celebrated together. In a moment of vulnerability, please ignore my insane hair styles and poor outfit choices. When you've worked all day in the cold, the snow or the rain, your motivation for appearance is slim to none. This year I promise try a little harder;) While you're at it, check out those green cabinets and yellow counter tops in our old apartment. I hated that kitchen so much when we were living there. Now I find that color oddly sentimental....

I hope that you, dear readers, enjoy your Thanksgiving. My wish for you is a day filled with family, friends and love. Enjoy a turkey leg, some green bean casserole and an extra helping of stuffing. Happy Thanksgiving, gobble, gobble!

I don't know about you, but I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that two days from now is Thanksgiving. And while I am probably more excited than anyone about the fact I'm going to get to eat some yummy turkey, stuffing and green bean casserole, I just can't believe how fast this year has flown by! It seems like yesterday that I first started talking with my awesome couples about their upcoming 2011 weddings. How far away it seemed at the time and yet here we are over a year later! I've had a great season with some of the best clients and couples a girl could ask for and I have been so blessed to be able to see some of their beautiful weddings published on the web! I'm so humbled when a blog chooses to showcase my photography and highlight the hard work of my couples. It's a super exciting experience both for me and for my clients. After spending typically over a year planning out all the small details that go into a wedding day, it sure is gratifying to see it highlighted on a wedding blog!

One of my deserving brides, Cassandra, who did ALL of the details of her wedding day by hand, had her beautiful wedding featured recently on Style Me Pretty. While super exciting for Cassandra, it was also a dream come true for me the photographer! Style Me Pretty is one of the top wedding blogs anywhere so be able to see my work there is quite the honor. I couldn't think of a better wedding to see featured on Style Me Pretty either. I mean c'mon, bouquets of paper flowers?! Gah, absolutely love. You can check out the feature here, and see their wedding in it's entirety here.

Another blog that I absolutely adore, A Paper Proposal also recently featured Wes & Emily's engagement at Appleton Farms in Ipswich. We had so much fun that spring morning walking the farm and the trails surrounding the property. We even got to feed some adorable, albeit, smelly cows! If you'd like to see their engagement click here. To view the feature click here. A Paper Proposal is a great resource for all you brides out there so make sure to scroll around for some inspiration!
