North Shore Beach Engagement Photos

Christie & Crittie have many special memories together at West Beach in Beverly, Massachusetts and so it was fitting that they chose this location for their engagement session this past fall. What we expected was a beautiful sun lit fall afternoon at the beach. What we got was a churning sea as a fast moving storm moved up the coast. We were welcomed to a cloudy sky, an empty beach and the ever present threat of rain.

An album is great excuse to get your digital images off of a computer or device and into a tangible heirloom that you can physically hold. Being able to experience your images rather than view them as pixels on a screen brings a new meaning to those images in a tangible experience.

Ever since first introducing the Motherhood Sessions last spring I have been overwhelmed with the love and support for the vision behind these sessions. This past fall I welcomed several Mamas and their beautiful families to have their photograph taken. The result was some of my favorite portraits, representing the special bond that these Mom’s share with their families.

Matt and Lizzie love the Spit, it represents so much of their shared history and story together. With a boardwalk that seemingly floats on top the dunes and leads out the rocky coastline, it truly is a magical place. Katherine & Jay have a zest for life and that was never more evident than on their wedding day. Their main goal was simply to enjoy the day and put on an epic party for their friends and family - and they did just that. The night burst into an all out dance fest as Jay and Katherine reveled in every minute of their day.

I first connected with Melissa when she reached out to me on Instagram. She had seen a recent family session that I had photographed at Singing Beach in Manchester and immediately connected with the vision of a modern lifestyle session at the beach. We picked a beautiful evening in August and enjoyed a quiet Singing Beach together. The waves gently rolled into shore and their darling daughter laughed with delight as she dipped her toes into the Atlantic Ocean.

I am beyond thrilled to announce that the Motherhood Sessions are returning this spring on April 4th. This year’s sessions will be hosted at the new studio and work space The Newburyport Studio - a gorgeous, light filled space with charming architectural details and character.

Destination Beach Wedding Photos

Lizzie and Greg dreamed of hosting their wedding on the stunning coast of Cape Cod in Massachusetts. Living in the Washington D.C. area, they envisioned a destination event for their guests offering up the best the Cape has to offer during the summer. All their dreams aligned when their wedding day approached and they were gifted with a magical summer day and perfectly blue skies.

Signature Wedding Album

As part of their wedding experience Hayley & James chose to include a Signature Wedding Album to showcase some of their favorite images from their wedding day. I’m a huge advocate for printing your images and curating them into a printed heirloom so it was thrill to help Hayley and James design and create this album from their wedding day at the Hyannisport Club on Cape Cod.

Crane Beach Maternity Photos

Liz and Andy have this joke, that if it’s raining it might be time for a session with Deb! It all started with their engagement session at Falmouth Light, the first time we met. It was one of the windiest days and the skies threatened the whole session to open up. Luckily for us it waited until after we were done shooting.

Singing Beach Baby Portraits

I first met Younes & Alyssa for their Boston engagement session three years ago. It was one of the coldest days of the year and poor Younes, who hails from Morocco, didn’t exactly know what to make of his wedding photographer dragging him all around Boston in the frigid temperatures.
